For Guy, it was the Official Year of Kate Bush, and he said so as early as January 7.

He was undoubtedly correct. It definitely became the Year of Kate Bush for me, under Guy’s influence, which was not at all shameful and corrupting in this instance. Thanks mister. I’m truly indebted. I do want that Yoko Ono anthology, too. Don’t think I’ve forgotten.

But I have to say that 2005 wasn’t all pleasant like that. There was also a despicable lack of TV-watching on my part, which I will have to correct, coupled with a despicable lack of film-seeing and gig-going, and most egregiously, book-reading. And there was Tom and Katie to be reckoned with, as well as a rage verging on madness regarding completely indefensible legislation. But I don’t want to talk about that now. I want to make lists. LISTS OF THINGS GOOD.

I did rather like Batman freakiness in an art/life way.

Anyways, I actually felt very fulfilled and happy this year, enormous rage aside. I perhaps should have blogged about it more, but I am lazy. However, that’s all in the past. So 2005. So over. Let’s look to the future shall we? Because…
