  • played my interview, in two parts, with Malalai Joya, Afghanistan democracy and women's rights campaigner. She was in Melbourne last week to talk about the state of democracy in Afghanistan and her new memoir, Raising My Voice.   • played my interview, in two parts, with Jeff Sparrow, author of Killing: Misadventures in Violence, about going to abbatoirs, death row and on kangaroo hunts where killing is part of the everyday, to see if these places could provide some insight into the experience and impacts of killing in combat zones.
  • Steph spoke to Michelle Carey, curator of the Post-Punk Underground program of the Melbourne International Film Festival.
